Sharing our Faith Online

Kapatid, nakapasyal ka ba man lang sa official website nating mga INC? Baka matagal ka nang gumagamit ng internet hindi ka man lang nakasilip kahit minsan dito? Lalo na ngayong may mga Pamamahayag ‘on air and online’, kahit walang sabayang gawain magagawa pa rin natin ito. You never have to forget about your favorite social sites, we can use that too. Here are the terms we should be familiar with:

 

Brethrens, were you able to drop by in our Iglesia ni Cristo official website? Maybe you have been using the internet for a long time but you never tried yet to even peek what is inside the online inter-active magazine/website we have. 

Hindi mo naman kailangang isantabi ang Facebook, Twitter o G+, Pinterest accounts mo, magagamit din natin yan dito. Narito po muna ang mga terms na kailangan nating malaman:

Ito po ang host or search engine na ginagamit natin sa pagpunta sa mga sites na pupuntahan natin.

It is the host or search engine or window interface we are using to get to the sites we wanted to visit or look for.

Website

Home o tahanan ng isang organisasyon o samahan sa internet. Maihahalintulad ito sa buong aklat.

Home of an organization or company on the internet. It is like a whole book.

Webpage

Kabilang ito sa isang website, parang bahagi din ng isang kompanya ito naman ay maihahalintulad sa mga departamento. Kung sa aklat natin itutulad, literal na pahina ang katumbas nito.

Just like a page of a book but in the internet. It belongs to website.

URL  (Uniform Resource Locator)

Ito po ang address ng isang page o website. Maaaring kopyahin at maging LINK. Nasa ibaba po ang halimbawa ng URL address, yaong may bilog ng pulang ballpen.

It is the location where the web site or page can be found. Below is an example of a URL, marked with the red pen:

Ito po ay dinamiko o kumikilos na mga salita o larawan (images) – kapag ikini-click ang LINK dadalhin ka nito sa webpage o website na kinaroroonan ng nakasaad ditong pangalan o topic.

Links are dynamic words or phrases that when clicked brings or directs you to a page where the written name or info on that link itself is located.

Sa makabagong antas ng teknolohiya at komunikasyon, kailangang makaagapay din po tayo sa larangan ng pagpapalaganap online gaya ng ipinanukala ng ating Pamamahala kaya itinatag ang ating mga Official Websites.

Tunay na wala nang dahilan para hindi natin magawa ang ating bahagi na makapag-misyon sapagkat kahit sa panahong gahol sa oras may paraan pa rin, sabi nga “Kapag ayaw may dahilan, kung gusto ay may paraan”

Indeed, there is no more reason for negligence when it comes to fulfilling our part in sharing our faith because even we do not always have free time from work or studies, there is still a way; like the old cliché says: “There is always an EXCUSE for ‘uncertainty’ and a ‘way’ that comes with determination”.

Nawa po ay huwag nating sayangin ang pagkakataong ipaalam sa iba ang katotohanang natuklasan natin sa Iglesia ni Cristo maging ang mga pinagpapagalan at ginugulan ng ating Pamamahala. Alam po nating wala tayong pakinabang na material dito ngunit batid natin na pakikipagpagal sa Pamamahala ang ganitong pagmimisyon at higit sa lahat nalulugod ang ating Panginoong Diyos. Alam ko pong nasasabik kayong gawin ito at gusto nating lahat na tangkilikin ang opisyal na websites ngunit medyo alanganin tayo kung papaano gawin iyon. Narito po ang

Let us not waste any chance of sharing the truth we have discovered from Iglesia ni Cristo. I know that you are excited to perform your duties of propagating the words of our Lord God and we all wanted to patronize our official websites but somehow confused on the best way to do it. Here is a little tutorial on how to share our faith online:

1. Go to www.incmedia.org. or in other OFFICIAL websites listed above.

I-type sa lagayan ng URL sa inyong browser (Google Chrome o Mozilla Firefox) ang ating official web address, isa lamang pong address ang maaari nating i-type duon.

2. Go to the top tool bar which shows the embedded links to videos or posts. Find a topic you want to share then click. There are social-sharing buttons to our official site below each video or post so you can easily do the sharing by clicking them, you will just be asked to login to your account and write a message before you can share.  If you have logged-in from another tab, it will be automatic- you will just add some message for your re-share. When you are now on the site, look for the social-sharing buttons – facebook icon, G+ icon, twitter icon for your non-member followers to watch it. It would really be up to you what to videos to share and our official website is the SAFEST place to look for valid resources.

Mayroon po doong mga Tab Headings kung saan makikita ang iba’t-ibang maaaring basahin at panoorin. Bawat video thumbnails (o maliliit na larawan ng video na pagpipilian) ay nakalagay sa sarili niyang page kaya kapag ito ay iki-click dadalhin nito sa address o page kung nasaan ang video. Makokopya mo na ang URL address nito sa itaas ng browser toolbar para mai-share na link sa blog mo o sa iba pang social media platforms na marami kang friends at followers gaya ng Facebook, Google Plus o Twitter.

I saw that there are episodes of videos from INCTV Programs therein that we can use to propagate our faith; episodes in different languages are available too. I ONLY RECOMMEND our official websites to get links from to make sure that we are sharing doctrines upheld by our church .

Nakita ko pong mayroon dung mga naka-embed na episodes ng ating mga programa sa telebisyon na maaaring maipang-misyon; may mga nakasalin din sa iba’t-ibang wika. Duon lamang po sa ating mga opisyal na website ko inirerekomenda ang pagkuha ng links upang makasiguro po tayo na hindi tayo makakasangkapan ng mga maling aral.

You can choose what you like to share. Not only doctrine preaching videos can be shared but ALSO our church activities like INC Giving, Unity Games, Pagdiriwang ng Sentenaryo, even church inaugurations, INCTV live streaming link, about the Philippine Arena, our newly-inaugurated hospital and other facilities and a lot more so non-members will know what is keeping us busy and how we serve our Lord God.  There are also convert stories.

Kayo na po ang bahalang mamimili ng gusto ninyong i-share. Maaari din nating mai-share yung mga activities natin gaya ng Lingap sa Mamamayan, Unity Games, Centennial Celebration, pati inauguration ng ating mga hospital at pasilidad, mga nnaipagawang bahay-sambahan  hindi lamang iyong mga teksto upang malaman at Makita ng mga hindi natin kapanampalataya kung papaano tayo maglingkod sa ating Panginoong Diyos at kung anong mga pinagkakaabalahan natin. Mayroon din nga palang kuwento ng mga bagong kaanib, paano sila natawag.

3. Or if you are using IRC – chatting platforms just copy the link address of the videos or blog articles you want to share so your friends can read or watch them.

Kung sanay naman kayo mag-chat (hindi ko po magamit yan dahil nagrerent lang po ako sa computer shops sa bayan, mabilisan lang at sa blog ako naka-focus).  Kayo na lang po bumawi diyan. Maaari nyo pong i-type ang URL address na gusto ninyong ipasilip  (video o blog)sa ka-chat ninyo upang misyonin sila.

4.  My posts in the ‘Faith Page’ of this blog also bear links to our official website. You can also re-share them if you like. I make sure I am getting links from our official websites and Youtube Channel.

MAHALAGANG PAALALA/IMPORTANT REMINDER:

Makabubuting sa mga opisyal na website lamang po natin tayo mag-share o kumuha ng links upang makatiyak na dalisay na aral ang ating naibabahagi. Mag-ingat po sa mga website na maaring hawig sa pangalan ng Iglesia. 

It is BEST to get LINKS from our official websites and do video re-shares thereto make sure that we are sharing the ‘pure doctrines’ of the Church. Beware of other websites that may use similar-sounding names to our official websites. Check the  spelling and how it is written carefully. See the listed sites above.

Ito po ay hindi nangangahulugan na iiwasan na natin ang pag-mimisyon ng personal, nais ko lamang pong ibahagi ito para makasabay naman po maging ang mga baguhan sa paggamit ng internet na tulad ko sa ganitong paraan ng pagmimisyon at saka sigurado pong mapapadalas ang pagtupad natin sa ating banal na pananagutan sa Ama ukol sa pagpapalaganap samantalang gumagamit tayo ng internet.

This does not mean that we will not anymore attend in our Evangelical Missions done in our chapels, I just wanted to share this with you so that we can update our ways of propagation – added tool, most especially to those who are internet newbies like me. Furthermore, I also believe that we can ALWAYS be available to fulfill our noble duties of propagation while enjoying the use of internet technology.
